I've always loved books. Ever since I could remember, stories have always
fascinated me. The humdrum of my life forced me to seek the excitement that
could be found in books. As Belle had said (in
Disney's Beauty and the Beast), "far off
places, daring swordfights, magic spells, a prince in disguise..." fairies,
witches, wizards, what-have-you...What can top that?
Escape from my boring ordinary life doesn't entail
shopping-till-I-drop excursions (but this isn't
a judgement on those who love these kinds of things!),
but journeys into an alternate reality, a fantasy world with kick-ass
heroines and warrior-princesses, where women are strong enough to make
certain choices and take charge of their destinies, including that
scrumptious man they want to spend the rest of their lives with. These are
women who do not wait for their 'heroes' and 'princes' to rescue them. They
are the ones who save the day! (or try to. <g>)
But let's not forget the mysterious mage with his
strong magic and to-die-for body, or the handsome prince with his white
charger and unique fighting abilities. And a wicked sense of humor. That
is a must!
I love heroes and heroines who I can identify with,
i.e. characters who are flawed, who have their own sets of strengths and
weaknesses, who find love and passion in each other's arms. So, these are
the kinds of stories I write. Or hope to write.
To continue with my story, real life has been pretty
boring until... until... that day in June 2004
(of course I remember, it's a momentous day in my life!),
when one of Loose Id's editors contacted me for my full manuscript. Mind
you, it's not even acceptance for my manuscript yet, but my heart was
already bursting with joy. Good thing I didn't expire from extreme
happiness. :)

So these days, while I still yawn to work
five times a week and try to trick the world into thinking that I'm a tough,
no-nonsense career woman, my boss however is not fooled. He sees through
the conservative clothes to the passionate woman beneath and decides to make
me his.
But then again, that's my latest favorite
fantasy. :) It's so much more fulfilling than real life, don't you think?
All right already! Yes, I do have a
crush on my boss. That's why I'm stuck in my SDJ. What a way to live,
huh?! Good thing I can escape to my fantasy world anytime I want. ;)
Now, I am connected with two other
wonderful publishers:

Bio:
Kai
Andersen grew up in a very ordinary family, with two younger brothers and
parents who hold boring jobs. She is single and lives in a small flat near
the sea. A lover of nature, she loves to walk along the beach with the sand
sifting through her bare feet and stare out at the sea. From an early age,
she has kept herself occupied with a wide variety of reading materials,
songs, dates with hot, hunky guys, and the occasional (forced) sports
activity.
She has
been writing stories in her head since she was a youngster, but it was only
in 2003 that she sat down before her laptop and completed several
manuscripts. Her first novel, Tales of Enchantment 1: The Question of
Royalty, is an adult fairy tale of passion and power and was published
in 2004. Her writing interests ran the gamut of
paranormal, fantasy, historical, romantic suspense, and contemporary novels.
These days, writing is her stress-buster from the
heavy pressure of her day job. She continues to search for Prince Charming.
